Welcome to Petra Church, where our faith is grounded in the timeless truths of God's Word and the transformative power of His love. Our Faith Statement encapsulates the core beliefs that define who we are and guide our journey of faith.

Our Faith Statement

  • Belief in One Eternal God: We affirm the belief in ONE eternal God, Creator and Lord of the world, encompassing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our faith rests in His sovereignty and purposeful governance over all things.
  • Belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord: We confess Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as both Savior and Lord. He clothed Himself in flesh, offering Himself as a ransom for sinners through His sacrificial death on the cross. Rising from the dead and ascending to heaven, Jesus stands as the sole mediator between God and humanity, fully divine and fully human.
  • Understanding of Human Condition and Redemption: We acknowledge that all people are lost sinners, incapable of entering the Kingdom of God without experiencing new birth. Justification comes solely through grace by placing faith in Christ.
  • Embrace of the Holy Spirit's Power: We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, sent to bear witness of the Son. The Spirit works within individuals for spiritual rebirth, growth, and within the Church for continual renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power, and mission.
  • Authority of Scripture: We affirm the Old and New Testament Scriptures as the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, serving as our guide for faith and practice.
  • Belonging to the Universal Church: We are part of the one holy, universal, and apostolic Church, called to worship and witness for Jesus Christ as the Head. Our mission includes preaching the Gospel globally and demonstrating our commitment through compassionate service to all in need.
  • Hope in Christ's Return and Kingdom Manifestation: We eagerly anticipate the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ in power and glory, fulfilling His salvation and judgment. God's Kingdom will be fully realized with the establishment of a new heaven and earth, bringing eternal glorification to Him.

Amen

At Petra Church, we embrace these foundational beliefs with conviction and joy, inviting all to join us in worship, service, and the proclamation of God's eternal truth.
