Room for us to be Fruitful

"Hallelujah!" as we dive into the story of Isaac, the son of Abraham. Our passage is from Genesis Chapter 26, verses 17 to 22. The setting? A time of famine in Israel, prompting Isaac's journey to the land of the Philistines. - Audio Sermon from Room for us to bbe Fruitful by; Ps. Eric Settuba

The Bible says that when Abraham went to this place called Gerar, his father had been there.
Abraham had been there about 90 years ago, and the Bible says Abraham started by digging the wells that his father had dug, because the Philistines had stopped them. They had blocked them. They had filled them with water. Some of you are so born in the city, and probably the concept of a well is not very clear to you. Hallelujah. You don't understand what a well is, where you pick water from the top. But I want to tell you, even in Uganda, we have wells.

As Isaac's servants dug wells in the valley, they faced opposition and quarrels over water ownership. Yet, their persistence paid off. They found a well that they could call their own—a place of abundance and fruitfulness. This narrative teaches us the value of resilience in the face of challenges.
